I Love My Church

We love our church! God has blessed Branch First Baptist with a loving church family. These testimonies are from a variety of God's people - some long time members and some brand new.

I Love My Church Because...

... it’s full of God’s children - our eternal family! There is love, support, and joy to meet together - and someday we’ll all sit together at Jesus’ feet!!

--Mick and Diane

... My family has been at Branch First Baptist about 36 or 37 years. This church has shown us the love of Christ since before we started here. They have saw us through some really trying times - losing both parents, grandson, and my brother. They helped get me and family through my husband’s open heart surgery. I saw men come get on their knees praying for us. They walked me to the car at 3 am. God is still using this church in this area with children, teens, and adults. Thank the Lord for Branch First Baptist.

... God’s Word is proclaimed every service, and God’s love is expressed by the church family. I can’t think of a place I’d rather be.

... It’s welcoming, friendly, generous, good preaching, good youth program, understanding members.

... I have so many reasons. I know God sent me to this church. I was welcomed with open arms from everyone. I like that our pastor is a Godly man and teaches true Scripture. You can feel that the other members really care about you. I feel like I have a whole new family and I am proud to call members my family. I walk away with a new message and am truly learning more about the Word of God.

... December 1st was a perfect example of why we love our church. Andrea was scheduled for a heart catherization and liver biopsy in Denver. We knew the church was praying for her and once again the Lord answered our prayers and brought her through a very long ordeal, all due to your prayers and God’s great mercy.

Within this past week or so we have seen God’s mercy and protection of Little Joe, Aaron, Chrysta, and Andrea and we can only thank Him for His faithfulness and everlasting love.

We love the church because we pray for one another, we laugh with one another, we cry with one another, but most of all we pray for one another. Bro. Tim preaches the Word no matter what and he often reminds us that this world is not our home, we are "just a passin’" through. Praise God. We love our church.

--Garland and Linda

... The Spirit of the Lord is there and welcomes me.

--Jim C.

... The Spirit of love and giving are such a big part of who we are - God chose to put this group of people together and call us a family. Not a family connected by blood but by a family bound together by the grace and mercy of God. Our mission is to be light in a world of darkness. May we always let our light shine so that others will see Jesus in us - I am proud to call First Baptist Branch my home church.

--Quita

... First of all, I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior back in the old auditorium at the age of 11, alone with six other siblings. I remember riding in the back of a pick-up truck to church and waiting before going in for mother to re-comb my hair. The love, warmth, and fellowship is like no other church, way back and still today. We’ve had several wonderful pastors, but the one we have today is the most Godly, humble man of all. It’s a privilege and honor to attend Branch First Baptist Church.

... It’s filled with loving and caring brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s a place of comfort and joy. It’s a place where I can learn more about my precious Savior. My church family prays for each other and helps each other. As we worship, we grow closer to God and each other.
"God often meets our deepest need with help we gain from others, from caring members of His church - our sisters and our brothers." -D. DeHaan

"Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2

--Marcia

... Of the wonderful Christian family that is here to support me and lift me up whenever needed. Am so thankful to be a part of this church where God dwells among us and works in our lives. Praise God for Bro. Tim and his family that God placed in our church to lead our flock! Thank you God for your wisdom.

--Marla

... I love my church because they are my family. They love me, help me when I hurt and stand by me no matter what. I spend more time with many of them than my own extended family and I know them better. My church will always pray for me and if I have a need, they will try their best to meet it.

Most of all, I love my church because they are the very body of the one I love most, the Lord Jesus Christ. When I want to see Jesus in the flesh, I look to His church. Jesus has chosen to physically use and work through His church. Therefore, I choose to love, work with, and commit myself to the church of the living God.

I love Jesus and I love His body!

--Susie

... I do love my church! For me, when I say "my church," it’s not a building or a place that I am referring to, but the people. The group of men, women, boys and girls, young and old, that make up the body of this church. God has put us together, each with our own talents and strengths. I feel the love "my church" when we are together and have seen the love of my church in times of need. When my step-dad was dying, you prayed for him and because of your faithfulness and giving of time, he was saved a couple of weeks before he died. When Ian was sick and taken to Children’s and when Kennedy was born and flown to Children’s, all I had to do was place a call land in a matter of minutes "my church" was in action, praying and doing what they do best - loving on us. I know several others can testify of the love they have received. I am thankful for my church and that God led us here to be a part of such a wonderful group of people.

--Tammie

... We are accepting of people whatever their status in life.

... Jesus is our Shepherd. I get spiritually fed when my brothers and sisters meet me there... Our undershepherd preaches the Word, encourages, guides and corrects us. We join in music of worship. We share our needs, sorrows and joys and take it all to Jesus. My brothers, sisters, pastor and family are caring and praying people. When one hurts we all hurt; when one is joyous, we are all joyous.

I find a time of refreshing and renewing with the rest of my church family.

... Like Jesus, my church knows all my flaws and foibles and... Chooses to love me anyway.

--Lichea

I love my church because this is where God chose me to be His child. I thank God that He put me in a body of believers who love you, pray for you, and are always there to help you in whatever way you need them. I feel God’s presence every time we meet. I know that He is in this church.

I have been in this church most of my life. I can’t wait to get to heaven and see some of the dear saints that are there. What a day of rejoicing that will be!!!

I love my church!!!! Thank you, Jesus.
